ISN Oceania and South East Asia Regional Board Webinar: IgA Nephropathy Update

  • 9:00 AM CET

Ig A Nephropathy (IgAN) is the most common glomerular disease worldwide with highest prevalence rates reported in East Asian countries. These geographic variations are likely explained by differences in screening and biopsy practices, genetics and the environment.

There is a wide range of clinical presentations in IgAN, from asymptomatic urinary abnormalities to rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis. In recent years, the role of mucosal immunity, B cells, complement and endothelin systems in IgAN pathogenesis has been better elucidated. These advances in knowledge have led to the development of promising novel therapeutic options in the management of IgAN.

This webinar will provide a platform to share knowledge, discuss new research findings, and explore innovative approaches in treating and managing IgA Nephropathy.

Learning objectives:

  • To provide clinicians with an update on the pathogenesis of IgAN
  • To provide clinicians with the latest information regarding advances in the management of IgAN and an opportunity to discuss treatment challenges
  • To raise awareness of ongoing and upcoming trials, and promote participation in research
